2016 Planner

(grabbed from google images)

It’s New year tomorrow so I'm guessing that most of you have your planners already. The image above is what my planner looks like.

Let me tell you what factors I’ve considered when buying my planner. (You can use this as a basis for choosing yours too)
  • It’s light and simple. In my case, I prefer florals to compliment my journal so I bought the floral designed one. There’s also a choice of buying a plain journal but the same type of material for it.
  • It’s cheap! I bought mine for 3.20 dollars only compared to the other journals.
  • It’s hard bound which makes the pages well protected It has 2 divisions, one for daily tasks and for the overall tasks.
  • It has a big space to write on which is compatible for college (I expect a lot of schoolworks).
  • It can be converted to a bullet journal.
Okay, here’s where the “bullet journal” comes in, It’s an organized way to add tasks to your planner and it can also make your planner more useful. It was developed by Ryder Carroll for 20 years!!! It’s best if I just link the official site so you would understand how the bullet journal works.

I will be posting the progress of my journal on December 2016… I hope I could finish it!!!

New Year’s Resolutions

Now that I have Adobe Photoshop on my laptop, I decided to list down my new year’s resolutions in an image file so I can save it on my phone, iPad or even print it out for my planner. Here it is:

Feel free to add some of my resolutions on your list as well!

Also, since it's the season of giving, I will be giving a free layout of this resolution list for you to print out, place on your blog or save to your phone. Download the Image HERE. Comment below to link your new year's resolutions! Have a happy new year!

Christmas 2015 Wish list (Way too late)

(All images grabbed from weheartit and google images)

Guess what, yesterday I got one of the things I wanted in my list and it’s a Macbook Air from my parents!!! I wanted an ASUS Zenbook but then it wasn’t available in the PH yet… But I’m really happy that I finally got my own laptop (not secondhand) after 123123123 years!!!

I know it’s waaay too late to post my wish list but I wanted to keep track of it and see if I can actually buy it before next year ends. I also saw various bloggers posting their wish list so I figured that it would be a fun thing to do as well.

I don’t have Adobe Photoshop for Mac so I figured that I should just post sample pictures here.

  1. Hard drive - I need a portable hard drive for all my movies and files so that the memory of the laptop won’t be all consumed.

  2. Iphone - My Samsung phone is getting very old and slow (My phone for 4 years). I also think that the functions of the phone will really help in my blogging and social media tracking. I think it will also be handy. I could also snap everywhere I go. I couldn’t send snaps in snapchat when I’m outside because the Ipad is very heavy to carry around. Also, VSCO will be easier to use. Expect better quality photos in my blog!!! (Thank God I won’t be grabbing photos online that much.)

  3. Polaroid - I think that experiences will be more memorable if it’s documented by printed pictures than digitally. It’s nice to stick the pictures in the walls of the room or put the pictures in your journal or planner.

  4. Bluetooth Speakers - It’s a nice way to listen to music when showering, working out or when you’re chilling in the room. I’m fond of listening to soft music when reading manga, writing, or doing home works. It would be good if it’s speakers that you use instead of earphones so it won’t damage your ears and you can move freely in your room without having cords dangling around you.

  5. Glasses - My eye’s are kinda blurry when the text is far away so I requested my parents to buy me reading glasses. I won’t wear it permanently but only when I’m reading or doing home works.

  6. Tennis skirt - I am in loooove with tennis skirts but I can’t seem to see one in the Philippines. When I see one, I will surely grab myself a white and black one immediately.

What is in your wish list? Make sure to link it down below so readers could check yours as well. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

What Are The Things You Planned But Never Tried To Do?

(Shia Labeouf's "Just Do It")

I told myself last May that this 2015, my blog will be big. What happened? I stopped and gave up on the idea. I told myself that I would have big savings this year but it didn't happen. I told myself that I would become like this and like that and those things didn't happen because I stopped or I didn't try because I was scared or lazy.

Think of the what ifs if you did this or that or you didn't give up on what you wanted to happen. Think about what if I started my business last year or what if I started working out a long time ago and didn't stop. Now, take that what if and actually do it in the present day and don't just make it an idea. Don't make your future self think "what if". It's better to fail once in a while than living your life on 2 words "WHAT IF".

Now do this: Take a pen or just type on your computer the top 5 that you are planning to do. It doesn't matter if it's about health, money, love or education.

Example:
Start my own business
Spend time on my blog
Read an inspirational book every year
Always think positive
Drop coins in the piggy bank every time you get the chance to

Keep that paper by your bedside and hang it on your wall so you will be reminded of it everyday. You could also save it as your phone background picture as well.

Next year, come back to my blog and comment what happened when you started doing the challenge I told you to do. Good luck to us!

I made it!

(grabbed a photo ftom weheartit)

Finally! The term is finished. Actually the term finished a week ago but I figured that I should revive my blog. I haven't blogged since college started. I had little time to do things and it lessened much more because I'm not used to managing my time just yet. I had troubles on the first months of college because I was adjusting to the system. I had failed tests and I wasn't used to the professors yet. Some nights I stayed up crying because I didn't like my course at all and I wish I could've done well in the entrance exams. I ended up in one of the top universities in the Philippines but not my dream course.

I decided that I should change my mindset. Maybe I wasn't excelling in my course because it was buried in my mind that I didn't like it. I tried to cope up by giving my best in everything I'm doing and it worked! I'm part of the dean's list for the first term.

Another sad thing that happened is that I didn't get in the singing club of the university. I wasn't used to it and I felt really sad. I used to be associated with music in my school but in my university, it changed. However, I heard that in that club, you get to go home at 10 PM every time there are important events or rehearsals. I don't have a condo near my university so I have to travel for 1 hour and not get enough sleep. I realized that it was a blessing in disguise. Maybe why I wasn't chosen to be part of the group is because I had to focus on my academics, family and friends.

In this term, I learned that I should see the good in everything and believe that everything happens for a reason

Vanillant's Blog Critique

Happy Thursday everyone! I decided to critique blogs and check them out in order to find new blogger friends and follow new accounts. There are a lot of bloggers who want to know what people think about their blogs so I found a way to help you guys. It's called Vanillant's Blog Critique.

The procedures are simple:
1. Follow me in GFC and Bloglovin' (links on the sidebar) and state what number you are in my follower's list in the comments below. For example: I'm #8 in Bloglovin' and #14 in GFC.
2. Tell me you want to be critiqued in the comments. For example: "Please critque my blog"
3. Don't forget to state your blog link. It's funny if you did the first 2 procedures and forget to state your blog link.

Simple right? All free and you don't even have to spend much effort typing.

What I'm going to do:
1. I will comment on your latest post judging the blog by the following:
  • What I think the blog is about
  • Theme & its relevance to content
  • Social media buttons or links (Is it easy to find?)
  • About Page
  • Content of blog (Are the posts compelling?)
  • Advice (Optional)
2. I will follow the blogs that catch my eye. If I did not follow you but you want me to follow you back, be free to comment on my latest post telling me to do so. (I will follow you)

NOTE: Please do not be offended because I will be completely honest in my evaluation. This is for your own good but please remember that what I will say is opinionated and it's still your choice if you want to follow my advice.

Comment down below and I will answer as I see notifications. Have a great day!

Set them free

(grabbed from google images)

I'm the only child in the family and of course it's natural to have overprotective parents. It would be tragic for them to have something unfortunate to happen to their child. Yes, this could also apply to children with siblings.  It's hard to trust people these days especially in the cities because a lot of crimes happen. These happenings are reported in the news so parents can see them. This would naturally give them a feeling of nervousness.

I have experienced circumstances when I had to have a chaperone with me when I'm with my friends and it was a horrible experience for me because I felt immature, innocent and dependent. My friends were all alone and free without anyone hindering them. I was even deprived of commuting home because I might be "kidnapped" by the tricycle driver which really annoyed me. I was really envious of the people who were free to explore and enjoy in the city. In turn, I felt disappointed with my parents because of that attitude.

So if you are a parent, please take time to keep this in mind. Set your child/children free and don't hinder their happiness, especially when they're in the age where they could do things on their own. If they're aged 13 and above they could be taught to be independent. Yes, you could limit your child/children if you think that they are abusing the chances you give them, the people with them are bad influences or you are sure that the place they are going to is unsafe.

Don't overthink that things will happen to them because you will hinder their happiness and make them distant to you, at the same time you will heighten the chances of things happening to them because your thoughts are everything.

Most of all remember: "Overprotective parents raise sneaky children." which is more dangerous.

I would also like to thank the people who check my blog and comment on my posts because they mean so much to me. Comment down below if you want me to check out yours (I follow the accounts that catch my eye).

The Versatile Blogger Awardee

(I reworked the logo but if you want to use the original one click here.)

Hey guys!

I’m sorry for not updating my blog that much. I was too busy with school stuff and travelling. Now that I’m an official graduate of high school then I’m probably going to update so much more!
I would like to thank Victoria for tagging me. She commented on my post entitled 2 Books I recommend. This is the first time I’ve heard of this probably because this is the first time I’m tagged.

Let’s get going!

You just have to simply follow these instructions:
  • Nominate 15 other bloggers that are relatively new to blogging.
  • Let the bloggers know that you've nominated them (either thru email or comments).
  • Share 10 random facts about yourself.
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your post.
10 facts about me:
  1. I’m deeply in love with gaming. I play League of Legends often. Username: okaylangako (PH server) Don't go adding me on the NA server!!!
  2. Other than blogging, I make covers as well.  It would really be an honor if you check out my Soundcloud & Youtube accounts. Please, please, please. I will love you forever.

  5. I’m addicted to clothes. Especially preppy & pastel clothing. I'm more of the conservative type but of course, still stylish.
  6. I’m the only child. This is why my parents are too overprotective, but at the same time buy me things I like most of the time.

2 Books I Recommend

I went to fully booked a few days ago and I stumbled up there for about 3 hours and I finished a book. It's really inspirational and could be a guide to start your goals in life or let your creative juices flow. The book is called Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon.

I know the title seems harsh especially because it has the word "steal" on it which is not a nice thing to do. The word "steal" in the book does not mean literally to take something from someone with them being affected but to mix a lot of techniques in order to make your own style. The book points out that nothing is original. To those who are pretty lazy with books, I recommend this to you because I read this one in one seating. It isn't complicated to understand. Another book I'm planning to read (I got a head start and it was pretty good too) is Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon as well.

This book will guide you to apply the things that you learned from Steal Like an Artist. This helps in order for our art to be known and shared. I would like to thank Austin Kleon for his amazing works. I would him to know how helpful he is to a lot of people.

These books inspired me so much because I'm actually keeping track of my life and became more organized. I choose to use my time wisely and strive to get my goals. Tell me if you're planning to read the books. If you read it already, what do you think of it? Are there any similar books you want to recommend? Comment below!

2 0 1 5, a year of Contentment

It's finally 2015 and I'd like to congratulate you guys for making it through the challenges last 2014! Yup, there were a lot of fireworks and food but we also have our 10 new year's resolutions (that we usually fail to do) but to simplify things I chose to focus on one value this entire year. That value is contentment. It is said that a person could achieve true happiness if they are contented. It is better to focus on the things we have than to focus on the things that we want to have or do not have. This year, I want to be truly happy and grateful at all times. I'm going to respect everybody and do the right things. I'm going to treasure the things that I have. How about you, what value are you practicing this year? Share it down below so that we could interact.
